Objectives
This seminar is designed to teach practitioners about the different soft tissue grafting techniques used to correct gingival deficiencies, ridge defects, and other related problems. General practitioners will learn to recognize a patient’s need for soft tissue graft before placing an implant. With the knowledge gained from this seminar, practitioners will be capable of resolving any complication that may occur before and after the surgery in regards to soft tissue grafting. In this two-day hands-on seminar, participants will also have the opportunity to master the use of PRP to enhance the patients’ healing process.

  • Soft Tissue Grafting
  • An overview of soft tissue “mucogingival” surgery to manage exposed root/implant surface
  • Diagnosis and classification of gingival recession
  • Rationale and long-term results of mucogingival surgery
  • Surgical methods to cover exposed root surfaces:
    • Pedicle Grafts: Rotational Flaps & Coronally Advanced Flaps
    • Free Grafts: Gingival, Subepithelial Connective & Acellular Dermal Matrix
    • Combined Procedures: Pedicle & Free Graft Combinations
    • Guided Tissue Regeneration: Indication, Technique & Surgical Procedure
  • Surgical preparation of alveolar ridge defect to receive a dental implant or a pontic
  • Flap design in soft tissue and dental implant surgeries
  • Suturing Techniques
  • Post-surgical care and management of complications
